This interview was first published in Flash Magazine, March 2015, in the column “History, Philosophy and Faith: Comparing Religions” edited by Monica Ciotoli

I-SELF-IDENTITY WITH HO’OPONOPONO

SELF I-DENTITY THROUGH HO’OPONOPONO® (SITH®)

We continue with the Interview with Engineer. Dr.Nello Ceccon which participated in its first seminar of Self I-dentity Through Ho’oponopono SITH in 2006 in Dublin. He applied the method consistently for three years before becoming the coordinator for Italy organizing in 2009 the first seminar in the presence of Ihaleakala Hew Len and Mary My Wild Irish Rose Koehler. It has conducted seminars on the SITH® process also in other European countries, Russia and Asia. He uses the SITH® method in his profession as an engineer,is also a Mediator and Technical Consultant in the Courts. To date, he is the only Italian trainer authorized to conduct these seminars in their original version. He is the author with Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len of the Ho’oponopono CD ‘Thank You, I Love You, Thank You, I Love You’ ed. Anima 2013. He has contributed to two books Talents for the Future (edited by Massimo Merlino ed. Il Sole 24 Ore, 2009) and The Dimensions of Innovation (edited by DanieleMeini and Massimo Merlino, ed.Il Sole 24 Ore, 2007).

“I” Am The “I”: I “o am the “I.
“I” advance from emptiness to light, “I” am the breath that nourishes life, “I” am that nothingness, that emptiness beyond all consciousness, The “I”, the “Id”, the All. “I” draw my rainbow arc across the waters, The Continuum of minds with matter. “I” am that which enters and leaves the breath, The invisible, untouchable breeze, The indefinable atom of creation. “I” am the “I.”

CWith this prayer the Shaman Nalamaku Morrnah Simeona, one Kahuna Lapa’ u (healer), (recognized Living Treasure by the State of Hawaii in 1983), who developed SITH®, began his calls for the Divine to intervene in the Ho’oponopono process. Would you enumerate and clarify for us the essence and nature of this technique?

This “I am The I” prayer Morrnah Simeona received while walking on the beach in Hawai’i, she recounted that the Divine would recite this prayer to her only three times in Hawaiian telling her that she should memorize it at that time. Morrnah Simeona, as Kahuna Lapa’u from the age of 3, received all knowledge in oral form from her earthly teachers but also directly from the Divine.

Personally, I start my day with this prayer; it is a way of reminding myself where I come from and what the purpose of my life is. To be premised, the ‘I’ that speaks in this prayer is that which permeates everything, ‘the invisible, untouchable breeze,’ not the first person pronoun we commonly understand. ‘I’ is the Divine that resides everywhere and nowhere, yet it is the principle of the creation of all that we are. ‘I’ is also within each of us; it is the Divine that is present and manifest in us. This is my interpretation of the first line ‘ I Advance out of the Void into the Light’.

Another element of prayer is the breath, which is considered most important to Hawaiians. In the past from the quality of the breath they could tell if a person was healthy or was suffering, if they were lying or sincere, if they were angry or envious… In the breath is the life force that Hawaiians call Mana. Life is nourished by Mana, so it is important to seek balance and draw nourishment from Mana through the breath; the ego manifests and nourishes through the breath and through all living things.

Ultimately this prayer à the way of our life, it is that return to the ‘zero’ state where everything is possible, where Creation happens. This is also the meaning of the title of the book Zero Limits, by authors Joe Vitale and Dr. Hew Len, which introduced Ho’oponopono as a problem-solving system to the general public.

Ho’oponopono is a method that explains who we really are, we talked about this earlier, but it also explains why we always experience many problems in daily life and also helps us solve these problems.

Problems according to Ho’oponopono are nothing more than memories that spin continuously and incessantly within us. These repetitive memories manifest in our lives as health problems, relationship problems, and work or money problems. Since problems are nothing more than memories, to solve them it is necessary to release these memories. The fascinating aspect of Ho’oponopono is that we do not have to know what memories are causing the problems; these reside in our subconscious mind, and it would be really impossible to go looking for them one by one. Our subconscious mind collects information from the very beginning of our creation, so we ‘see,’ ‘hear,’ ‘speak,’ ‘perceive,’ and ‘taste’ almost always through our subconscious mind, then through the memories that are stored within us.

Ho’oponopono tells us that if we want instead to be the manifestation of the Divine Creator, we must release these memories and return to the Zero state at all times. The Ho’oponopono method tells the subconscious mind how to release the memories and thus be able to perceive reality and the world around us according to the Divine Design.

The Ho’oponopono method is thus a system to release the memories that manifest as problems in our lives, to allow Divine Intelligence to manifest through us, through our lives. When we are the manifestation of this Intelligence, there can be no mistakes, problems or illnesses in our lives but only Peace and a deep sense of Life.

Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len always recommends reciting this prayer as a powerful tool for ‘cleansing’ intoxicating memories.

It is speculated that Ho’oponopono is a “knowledge” that originated in Ancient Lemuria (Land of MU), a continent that disappeared millions of years ago, and that some Lemurians, expert numerologists, astronomers, philosophers and cultivators of ancient cultures and endowed with extrasensory powers, later founded Atlantis, the location of which is disputed due to continental drift and slippage of the Earth’s crust. Lemuria is believed to be the submerged iceberg of present-day Polynesia.. Concisely summarize origins and evolution in relation to a possible link to different religions?

The ancient civilization of Atlantis and before that that of Lemuria were associated in Greek and Amerindian mythologies with the constellation of the Pleiades. When Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len first came to Italy in 2009, he confided in me one evening that we came from the Pleiades, and that Ho’oponopono is a method derived from those stars. At first I was a bit puzzled by this statement; I knew that he occasionally makes seemingly meaningless statements, but this one was beyond my ordinary understanding. In any case, even in the next day’s seminar and then other occasions he expressed his belief that the ancient Hawaiian people came from the Pleiades galaxies.

Many esoteric and religious teachings are believed to come from this ancient and eternal knowledge of the Pleiadian peoples, and indeed the essential core of Ho’oponono refers to precisely some of these transreligious elements. The Ho’oponopono taught by Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona is a process of Repentance, Forgiveness and Transmutation. These three concepts are well established in many religious traditions. What is peculiar about this method is that Repentance is to be turned toward self, as we have allowed memories to dominate our lives, experiencing mistakes, problems and suffering. Forgiveness is still turned to self, because only through forgiveness can space be made for love. Forgiveness releases the intoxicating memories, brings them back to the ‘zero’ state, the state of emptiness, ready to open to the energy of Divine Intelligence. The third element, Transmutation, is the process whereby from the release of memories the energy or Mana actually returns as inspiration, as Divine actions and deeds that bring one’s life back into balance, peace, love, prosperity and harmony.

The elements of Repentance, Forgiveness and Transmutation are present in the four phrases that can be said at the beginning to activate the process of ‘cleansing’ the memories. ‘I am sorry’ is Repentance, ‘Forgive me,’ is obviously Forgiveness and finally ‘Thank you,’ ‘I love you’ is Transmutation. These are the phrases that can be used to activate the Ho’oponopono process in a very simple way.

Morrnah Simeona said“The main purpose of this process is to discover the Divinity in ourselves. Ho-oponopono is a profound gift that allows one to develop a working relationship with the Divinity within and learn to ask that at all times, our mistakes realized in thought, word, deed or action be purified. The process essentially involves freedom, freedom from the past.” As if we were in class at one of his seminars (the next note will be held in Rome on March 21-22 March),would you summarize for us the contents and program i.e. process, steps and purpose?

The seminar being presented, conducted by me with teacher Cankut Ozkorkut is the original version of Self I-denity Through Ho’oponopono, in Italian I-dentity of the Self with Ho’oponoponoas it had been developed by Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona and then disseminated worldwide by Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len.

The Divinity within us can only become manifest by doing ‘cleansing’ in one’s inner state; this seminar offers the opportunity to do this deep cleansing. Prayers, meditations, breathing, foods and even physical exercises are presented that help in the process of releasing memories, ‘cleansing’ indeed. We will present nearly a hundred ways to release intoxicating memories, because we know that it is during daily life, day after day, that problems arise and evolve. With the teachings we will provide we will give the opportunity to apply cleansing in every moment of one’s life, in complete autonomy.

Another fundamental concept we are going to present is that we are 100 percent responsible for our lives. This means that we are yes responsible for all the problems we experience every day, but we also have the ability to release them, to solve them to move toward true freedom.

The seminar offers a view of one’s Identity in accordance with Hawaiian knowledge systems, because through awareness of what is going on within us we have the opportunity to go deep inside and dismantle our internal sabotage mechanisms and finally get rid of them to make room for what our soul truly wants to express in this life, the Love that is beyond all understanding. Our identity according to Ho’oponopono can be seen in three aspects: the mental, the emotional and the divine. The mental aspect is the conscious one which Hawaiians call Uhane or Mother, the emotional aspect is the subconscious one, in Hawaiian called Unihipili or Child, where all memories are stored, and then there is the Spiritual and Divine aspect, also called Aumakua or Father, which we so often forget we have. We can understand that at every moment of our lives we have two options: to be at the mercy of the events of life and especially of our past, thus of memories, or to return to the Zero state, where the Wave of the Divine Creator manifests unceasingly in the Peace of the present.

In the Ho’oponopono practice, it is explained how to apply it in the various situations of life, in health problems and illnesses, in relationships with family, relatives and friends, in work, school, business and trade. Ho’oponopono can also be applied to places, houses and grounds, because these also need our care and cleanliness.

At the seminar we will do a special cleansing for families and relationships, as many of our health, economic and work problems originate, develop and propagate through families. Through Ho’oponopono ‘cleansing’ the family instead becomes a place of deep healing and realization.
